The Ship of Theseus.

 Here I am.

And here they are, parts of me.

Do they make me, me? Or is this brokenness me?

If you took all the parts away, maybe the brokenness stays.

What if you took the brokenness away?

Plastic hearts.

  1. Each part will have a meaning, often a history and a reason for existence. So in all the broken-ness, there is always familiarity, and comfort.

If all was taken away, so would the broken-ness.

  2. With each part, there is often some history and reason for existence. So in all the parts and brokenness, there is some familiarity and hence comfort.

  5. Mending all those broken parts are never easy. We weigh ourselves down with guilt. The past is the past. Hopefully, we can learn from it. We keep evolving. We never look quite the same or how we used to be and yet we do. It's quite a paradox.
