Eternal search for peace, within and without.

There is a difference between what we know or understand vs. what there actually is. It is like deep oceans of many many earths worth of knowledge in the face of our ignorance. We think we could define things by putting them in words or giving them pictures in our head, when we're miles and miles away from capturing even 0.1% of it.

Once in a while, the universe finds its ways of giving us a glimpse of all that we don't see with our eyes, or think with our heads or generally perceive. And then, its like we've been awakened. Every breath feels new, every colour is more true. For instance, the rods and cones in our eyes can perceive only a limited wavelength of all the light around!

How could we ever think that we know/see/perceive everything when we understand only a fraction of it. There's so much more than what our limited minds can project out as reality. For knowing the fact that we're more ignorant than aware; and for all that there is, there was or there ever will be, I am forever grateful.

Every night, we go to sleep with universes within and without, holding us in a warm embrace; and wake up to be poured back in our stories of what we pretend to be. Only to go back to slumber later that night and make it all worthwhile. I love how childhood seems more real than adulthood, as it shows a rather more real picture of the world. Wake up - go play - come back home, clean the slate and restart tomorrow. Every day is a new chapter, with the pen in our hands to write about. Here's an ode to that.

For believing.

  1. Lovely! We are indeed tiny blips in our world which is a tiny blip in the universe - but we create our own worlds as well :)

Exactly Ma'am! Not having unnecessary intrusions that bog down our focus, writing becomes child-play!

  5. Yeah, we can never hope to know it all or see it all, but should never stop looking and learning. Ignorance is bliss when it comes to many a human though.

  6. Having the complete picture is an ideal situation, because more often than not, there is always more to know... but that doesn't stop up us from forming opinions, taking decisions and living life... which the way to be...
The key is to not have any prejudice, and not be too rigid in our opinions...

Life is like castles in the sand.. every new wave brings the need to repair or rebuild....

  7. I think adulthood is one of the most absurd things this life has to offer. Adulthood is when we find the world makes no sense and we can't be content to revel in the mystery.

  8. It is interesting to see how I used to look back on love and how that has changed over experience. The sense of it being so noble now it's no fairytale.

  9. I fled society, Ms. Assassin. Very much like John Galt in "Atlas Shrugged", I bid the world good-bye - with the exception of bandwidth. There aren't many people here but there a fire station with a call tower next to it. And should you ask me whether or not that worked, I can tell you that it did. The nearest store and gas station is an hour's drive from here. And if I want an actual big city, that's 2.5 hours away.
