Kabir once narrated a sanskrit poem. This is what it stated-
kasturi kundali basai, mrig dhundhe ban mahi;
aise
ghati ghati ram hi, duniya dekhai nahi.
It meant, that a deer keeps looking for a fragrance in
the forest. Searching everywhere, and yet not able to locate it.
The fragrance comes from himself, his naval.
I have come to this point, where I see, that I was looking for myself.
I understand what you mean. Sometimes who we look for is right within us.
ReplyDeleteKabir is awesome and I happen to be in his city now :)
ReplyDeleteHow often is this true how we search for something outside of ourselves and it was always within...
ReplyDeleteIt is kind of like the movie the Wizard of Oz where Dorothy was trying to find her way home, she always had the power inside to get there and once she knew that she was home... xox
Aren't we all? I just don't know where to start, even if it sounds easy.

There is no discovery greater than this one :)
ReplyDeleteThe title captured my interest. I have heard of 'bleeding sunlight' (probably because of red sunsets) but I have never heard of 'bleeding moonlight'.
ReplyDeleteI suggest you listen to Lazarus, by Porcupine Tree.
DeleteI have to agree with you, I think we are looking for the same thing too... I hope you find it soon, it exists... I've felt it...
ReplyDeleteGoddamn that was beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWe are what we are searching for.
That was, truly, beautiful and true. Thank you!
